Chiropractor Garner NC

Welcome to Community Chiropractic, a full-service chiropractic clinic located in the heart of Garner, North Carolina. At Community Chiropractic, we literally take your health into our hands-creating a unique plan for you that leads to optimal health.

Your body is much like the Internet: Your brain is the computer, your spinal cord is the information highway, and your spinal vertebrae-which house the nerves, arteries, and veins -are the links to your organs. Any disruption in the function of these organs and nerves is called vertebral subluxation.

At Community Chiropractic in Garner, we're dedicated to educating and helping as many people as possible improve the quality of their lives through gentle and effective chiropractic care to address these disruptions. Since 2005, we've been helping patients through chiropractic care, as well as nutritional counseling and additional services like supplements and essential oils.

About Community Chiropractic

Dr. Bill Jackson is a 1999 Elon University graduate, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine, and a 2004 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While there as an intern, Dr. Jackson brought chiropractic care to Bolivia through the school's Clinic Abroad program. Following graduation, he and his wife, Danielle, returned to North Carolina for its natural beauty and sense of community. They live in the Garner area with their two children and their chocolate lab, Flynn.

Dr. Jackson is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the North Carolina State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He's a member of the International Chiropractic Association and the North Carolina Chiropractic Association. As a member of the Fibromyalgia Centers of America, he's a preferred provider among a select few healthcare practitioners nationwide focused on treating chronic pain. As a chiropractor in Garner, Dr. Jackson brings a unique style of chiropractic adjustment to the greater Triangle area, providing a gentle, effective approach to care.

Chiropractic care is the practice of using spinal alignment to alleviate a wide variety of physical ailments, including muscle strain, neck pain, chronic back pain, and more. This is accomplished by adjusting the position of the spinal column to its proper shape, providing a non-invasive solution for pain relief.

The History of Chiropractic Care

The word "Chiropractic" is derived from the Greek words "cheir" (hand) and "praktos" (done) combined to mean "done by hand." It was chosen by the developer of chiropractic care, Daniel David Palmer. In 1895, D.D. Palmer performed a chiropractic adjustment on a partially deaf janitor, Harvey Lillard, who later reported that his hearing had improved due to the change.

D.D. Palmer opened the first chiropractic school two years later, and in the century since, chiropractic professionals have used spinal adjustments to help people prevent and cope with back pain, carpal tunnel, muscle strain, headaches and migraines, and a variety of other physical ailments. Millions of people benefit from the work of Dr. Palmer today.

Evaluation

After taking your health history into account, your chiropractor will perform a physical examination. Your chiropractor may feel your spine, joints, and examine your range of motion.

Assessment

A chiropractic exam will be thorough and may include X-rays, orthopedic tests, and neurological tests.

Spinal Exam

To determine what parts of your spine would require chiropractic treatment, your chiropractor will likely use a palpation technique to find what areas of your spine's mobility are restricted.

X-Rays

Many healthcare providers employ the use of x-rays for diagnostic purposes, including chiropractors. They are useful in helping identify the source of a problem, its potential severity, and potentially guiding the course of treatment.
