Chiropractor Garner NC

Welcome to Community Chiropractic, a full-service chiropractic clinic located in the heart of Garner, North Carolina. At Community Chiropractic, we literally take your health into our hands-creating a unique plan for you that leads to optimal health.

My name is Dr. Bill Jackson. I'm a 1999 graduate of Elon University in North Carolina and a 2004 graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College in Iowa. I married my lovely wife Danielle in 2001, and we have two children, Charlie and Olivia. We moved back to North Carolina in 2004, where I began my chiropractic career with Community Chiropractic. I purchased the practice in 2009 and have seen, like the community of Garner around me, growth and progress for the past 16 years. I'm proud to serve the community and look forward to the next 16 years helping folks with their health concerns and needs.

About Community Chiropractic

Community Chiropractic is a single-chiropractor clinic. We provide a number of services and treatments with your safety and satisfaction in mind. We promote a unified team atmosphere, so when you enter the clinic you can feel comfortable and at ease. We deliver natural and noninvasive options to surgery and medications. Treatment options include manual, hands-on adjusting (where you hear the “pop”), as well as instrument adjusting (where you don’t hear the “pop”)

"Can My Conditions Be Helped By A Chiropractor?" That's what we all want to know. Well ... The short answer is ... We'll find out!

  1. Neck Pain: This is the #1 in pain areas. We find ourselves in a handheld world of technology where phones, tablets and computers have stressed out our necks. The neck is a gateway area that has control and influence to all areas of the body.
  2. Lower Back Pain: This is a really close #2 to neck pain, often caused by a lack of exercise and stretching and sitting at a desk for long stretches of time. The unconditioned low back is a failure point for the spine. It supports the most weight and is forced to fight against gravity constantly. Give it some TLC!
  3. Headaches: Stress headaches are rising—and they're the stepping stone to a bad day. They're also commonly treated with NSAIDs or Tylenol, which isn't the source but more a referral pain. We've helped so many people with headaches over the years.
  4. Auto Accident Recovery: Think about it. If your car got messed up, then you probably did too. It's as simple as that. You may not be broken or bleeding, but spinal misalignments are almost a guarantee. The pain may set in 5 years after a collision—so why not get checked right away and skip the pain years later.
  5. Plantar Fasciitis: This comes in many forms, but the onset of foot pain with no recent injury could be acute inflammation of the fascia tissue on the bottom of the foot. The symptoms are similar to a heel spur or achilles tendonitis. All can cause foot pain, and we have the tools to help.
  6. Extremity Pain: The shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee and ankle are kinetic chains of pain. They can be sourced by the spine or can be issues at the joint. Following an examination of the area, we determine if in-house treatment is needed or a referral would be best.
  7. Fibromyalgia: Most fibromyalgia pains aren't in your head. They don’t show up on standard blood tests or x-rays, but they're real. Most sufferers are just medicated. What if your pain could be reduced significantly without medication?
  8. Sports Injuries: This class is numerous. The best thing to do is to be evaluated after a sports injury. Your body is going to be doing the healing, so it makes sense to have your healing systems working their best after the injury.
  1. Adjustment: Hands on (“pop”) or instrumentation (no “pop”)
  2. Pelvic Blocking: Very gentle low back-specific technique for reducing disc issues
  3. X-Rays: In-office unit, reducing the time between an X-ray and a full evaluation
  4. Cold Therapy
  5. Electric Stimulation & Muscle Stimulation
  6. Ultrasound Therapy: For pain relief (rather than diagnostic ultrasound for veins or in utero)
  7. Hydrotherapy
  8. Sports Taping

Chiropractic care has long been an underutilized profession for primary healthcare. Community Chiropractic is focused on educating patients to best help with the infirmity and dis-ease of today. Medication and surgery aren't bad words—they're just a bad starting point. We try to find the source of your problem and work down river together from there. Too many of us start down river or “where it hurts” and treat it with medications, which only helps cover up the source of the problem. The end result of this thought process is over medicating and eventually worsening of the source of the problem, resulting in a bigger problem. We understand that chiropractic care can't solve every problem, but WOW—it does so much good for so many problems.

In cases where we find chiropractic can't help, we'll help guide you toward an approach that can. There are a lot of similarities in cases, but no one case is going to act like another.

Why Our Approach Is Different

Community Chiropractic is focused on the Team style of care: 1 doctor + 1 patient = the team. This means that you, the patient, will work alongside Dr. Jackson to meet your health goals. You won’t feel rushed in and rushed out when you're here. In-office treatment should be looked at as a springboard to changing your health dynamic, but your engagement is needed for long-term health success. We'll spend the time to understand your lifestyle, your goals, and your wants and hopes from treatment. Our goal is to get you healthy enough that all you need is a tune up from time to time and won't need to deal with the rollercoaster of symptoms all your life. At Community Chiropractic, we recommend the best for you, so you can expect the best from us—and let the chips fall where they may!

Evaluation

After taking your health history into account, your chiropractor will perform a physical examination. Your chiropractor may feel your spine, joints, and examine your range of motion.

Assessment

A chiropractic exam will be thorough and may include X-rays, orthopedic tests, and neurological tests.

Spinal Exam

To determine what parts of your spine would require chiropractic treatment, your chiropractor will likely use a palpation technique to find what areas of your spine's mobility are restricted.

X-Rays

Many healthcare providers employ the use of x-rays for diagnostic purposes, including chiropractors. They are useful in helping identify the source of a problem, its potential severity, and potentially guiding the course of treatment.
